New Waveguide-Hologram Fingerprint Entry Device

An optical fingerprint entry device based on waveguide hologram and CMOS image sensing was proposed.The new waveguide-hologram fingerprint entry device was designed by analysis of the effects of evanescent wave and hologram grating during fingerprint capturing process.Experimental results show that the image captured by the device has higher resolution and contrast.The size and weight of the fingerprint entry device are minimized greatly by omitting the lens in the traditional optical path.
