A Reliability Evaluation Approach for Aeronautical Products Based on Dempster-Shafer Theory

According to the characteristics of aeronautical products,a nonparametric reliability evaluation method based on Dempster-Shafer evidence theory(DST) is proposed in this paper.Firstly,the upper and lower probability bounds are established from the sample data and the basic belief assignment(BBA) is accordingly obtained.Finally,by using the transferable belief model(TBM),the BBA is transformed into the Pignistic probability,which is the basis of the decision.The numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness and validity of the proposed approach.
