Method and system for masking and selective noise cancellation

The present invention relates to a method and system for masking and selective noise cancellation comprising: emitting, by an acoustic transmitter, a noise signal previously known; receiving, in a receiver headphones, ambient noise signal comprising the noise signal emitted; extracting at least a first signal identifying characteristic of noise emitted; in response to the first identifying characteristic, selecting a first noise cancellation signal corresponding to the noise signal emitted in antiphase; and providing a receiver output headphones, the first cancellation signal selected noise canceling only noise emitted signal.
