Synthesis of P-Mo-V heteropoly acids and its application in catalysis-oxidation of cyclohexane

This paper describes the synthesis of three kinds of P-Mo-V heteropoly acids(HPAs) with differert number of V atoms. They are characterized by IR,UV/VIS,XRD,TG,EPMA to be of Keggin structure. Using H_mPMo_(12-n)V_nO_(40) as catalysts in cyclohexane, the H_5PV_2Mo_(10)O_(40)·5H_2O is most active, with 11% of cyclohexane conversion and 10% yield of cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone. It indicates (H_mPMo_(12-n)V_nO_(40)) being a prospective catalyst for cyclohexane oxidation.
