El juego como recurso didáctico para el refuerzo de contenidos matemáticos y la mejora de la motivación

This paper presents a review on the use of games in the educational field in general, and in the teaching of mathematics in particular, followed by an intervention based on the use of games as a didactic resource to reinforce mathematical content and improve students' motivation towards this subject. The intervention was implemented with a group of 16 students between 11 and 12 years old. The mathematical contents are related to the teaching and learning of fractions, considering the difficulties that this topic generates in students. The results obtained from the review and from a student survey support the potential of games as a didactic resource for the reinforcement of mathematical contents and the improvement of motivation.
