Enkele beschouwingen over het sociologische kenproces

1960
An evaluation of the experimental method in sociology from the viewpoint of information theory. In general, the relation between informatory power and general applicability tends to be inverse. The experimental method may yield a maximum of information, with limited applicability. The interview, on the other hand, supplies limited but applicable information. A distinction is made between primary exp's (discovery of facts and relations) and secondary exp's (testing of hyp's and theoretical statements). Some remarks on the logical structure of exp'al statements and interview statements are included. AA.
