Religion within the space of reasons

This chapter focuses on some contemporary issues based on the revival of traditional religions in many regions in the world today. Related to this are the issues of the rapidly growing loss of religious education in Europe, and of the world-wide threats to the physical, socio-political and mental conditions of life and a growing loss of awe of life. The importance of religion for life worth living and actions worthy to be undertaken is demonstrated in the context of some contemporary schemes of the philosophy of religion, as well as in the framework of a philosophy of personality and in view of public debates about some issues of justice and morality. The chapter relates the issue of religion within the entirety of life and consequently of religion within the space of reason, to some problems debated in the contemporary philosophy of personality.Keywords: philosophy; socio-political environment; traditional religions
