Synthesis, characterization, and photophysical properties of trinuclear copper(I) and silver(I) acetylide complexes bearing carboxylate group

Abstract Trinuclear copper(I) and silver(I) acetylide complexes containing carboxylate group, [Cu 3 (μ-dppm) 3 (μ 3 -η 1 -C ≡ CCOO)(μ 3 -OCH 3 )] and [Ag 3 (μ-dppm) 3 (μ 3 -η 1 -C ≡ CCOO)(μ 3 -Cl)], have been synthesized and their photophysical properties investigated (dppm = bis(diphenylphosphino)methane). Their X-ray crystal structures have been determined.
