The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for the automatic production of shoe soles. According to one aspect of the invention, a method comprises the steps of (a) charging a transfer device with at least one outsole element and at least one support member, (b) positioning the loaded transfer device adjacent a first portion and a second portion of a sole form, (c) transferring the at least an outsole element from the transfer device to the first part and transferring the at least one support element from the transfer device to the second part of the sole form, (d) filling of the sole mold with a plurality of individual particles, and (e) applying a medium to connect and / or fusing of the particles and with each other at least one outsole element.
