Bi-relaxor behavior and Fe 2+ fine structure in single crystalline Ba 0.3 Pb 0 . 7 Fe 12 O 19 M-type hexaferrite

Single crystalline lead-substituted barium hexaferrite compounds are studied in a broad spectral range, 10 2 Hz to 2*10 14 Hz. We observe excitations of different nature including dielectric and magnetic relaxations coexisting within the same frequency and temperature ranges and electronic transitions between the fine-structure components of the split Fe 2 + ground state level.
