Investigation on oil content of commodity rapeseed of Brassica napus L. in Qinghai province

In order to understand the oil content of commodity rapeseed(Brassica napus L.) in Qinghai province,the oil content of commodity rapeseed from mainly rapeseed production area of Qinghai province was investigated in two years.Results showed that the average oil content was 47.86% and 43.69% in 2009 and 2010 year,respectively.Difference of the oil content was significant between two years(P0.01),and there was a extremely significant correlation between the commodity rapeseed oil content and planting altitude in east Qinghai(P0.01).The oil content was higher at altitudes of 2 300～2 800 m than other regions;The average oil content of commodity rapeseed(Brassica napus L.) from different counties had a significant difference.The oil content was higher in Huzhu,Datong,Huangzhong and Xining than in Pingan and Ledu.The average oil content in average year reaches 50% in these four counties.
