Lake Condah Project: Post-contact Archaeological Component

1990
The Lake Condah Project is a major State Government initiative with the aim of assessing the cultural heritage of the Lake Condah study area, developing an appropriate management plan and to evaluate the area's potential for World Heritage nomination. While the focus of the project is on the Aboriginal settlement of the area it is also important to understand how Lake Condah was affected by post-contact settlement. This pan of the study focuses on the historical past of the area within the wider context of the region of the Western District itself.
