Optimal operation and energy storage mode analysis of integrated energy system considering uncertainty of renewable energy output

2021
Renewable energy(RE) and energy storage system(ESS) are important parts for future integrated energy system(IES). The optimal operation of IESs faces great challenges with high percentage of RE with uncertainty and energy storage(ES) integration. However, the impact of uncertainty of RE output and ES modes on optimal operation of IES has not been clearly investigated yet. In this paper, an optimal operation method which takes the uncertainty of RE output into account is proposed. And the impact of ES modes on economics of IES is analysed. Firstly, the uncertainty model of RE and loads are established based on the probabilistic scenario method. And the IES model including ESS is proposed. Then the differential evolution(DE) optimization method is utilized to solve the optimal equipment capacity with minimum overall cost. Based on this, the second-order cone optimization method is applied to solve the optimal operation strategy. Moreover, the interactions of ES equipment in different modes including single ES and hybrid ES are investigated thoroughly. And the economics of IES under different ES modes are discussed in detail. Finally, the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed method are verified by simulations. And the suggestions on ES configuration are made.
