Inside and outside the activated region of tracks

Abstract The submicroscopic track kinetics and minimum principle theories are described to analyze track profile evolution, considering damage variation along and around the ion incidence axis. The folding track replica method is described and a scope of the applications of the theories and technique inside and outside the activated region of tracks is presented.
