Electrostatic Cumulation in a Flow of Charged Particles: A Convinient Research Instrument for High Energy Density Physics
2021
Magnetic cumulation is not the sole phenomenon capable to produce a high-dense electron beam on the axis of a relativistic vacuum diode. According to [1] , [2] , electrostatic cumulation phenomenon also exists and reveals at much lower accelerating voltages. A distinctive feature of electrostatic cumulation is quite low spread of electron energies in the produced high-dense beam. This circumstance makes electrostatic cumulation phenomenon a convenient instrument for studying high energy density physics.
