Applying automated preparation and analysis to gasoline samples: ASTM D-3606

ASTM D-3606 is used to determine the percent Benzene and Toluene in gasoline products. This paper describes the automated preparation of calibration standards and analysis of gasoline samples for method ASTM D-3606 using a PrepStation/ 6890 GC system. PrepStation was used to prepare seven levels of calibration standards and to add internal standard to gasoline samples. This poster will show the results obtained on an automated PrepStation/GC system. Results for the preparation of calibration standards will show the correlation coefficient when standards were prepared with the PrepStation GC system.
