Komplexní restaurování paleotypu v původní celousňové gotické vazbě

Text of this bachelor thesis complements a complex conservation treatment of a medieval print in an original gothic full leather binding from collections of the South Bohemian Muzeum in Ceske Budějovice. The treatment was requested for its bad physical condition - object was non-compact and incomplete. It was repeatedly damaged during handling. Large losses of all materials were caused by wood-destroying pests. Due to the absence of the title page, the basic identification of the work (title, author, printer, year, provenance) was determined according to the colophon which is the part of the print and other digital copies of the work. The document is intended as a comprehensive documentation of conservation process, which describes all the individual operations, that were based on the attached technological analysis results. The work also includes a brief historical survey, typographic and typological description. All materials and chemicals used are listed. The text indicates the recommended conditions for deposition storing and exhibition. In the photo appendix the photographs documents the individual steps of restoration and, above all, the visual difference in the condition of the object before and after the intervention.
