The invention provides a method and a system for evaluating PLC safety protection equipment. The method comprises the steps as follows: a first test end obtains a communication mode type, a PLC type, an attack mode and/or an attack rule for testing equipment to be tested, and generates an attack message of the equipment to be tested and transmitting to the equipment to be tested; the first test end obtains an evaluation result of the PLC safety protection equipment according to a response message of a second testing end. The method and the system of the invention could be used for fast, objectively and comprehensively testing and verifying the safety protection function of the equipment to be tested.
