ANSYS-based electromagnetic field simulation for direct-driven permanent-magnet generators

In this paper,the software ANSYS was used for simulation of the static electromagnetic fields for the direct-drive permanent-magnet generator.First,the electromagnetic fields of the direct-drive permanent-magnet wind power generator were calculated with traditional calculation method.Second,the finite element method for the electromagnetic field was proposed,and the software ANSYS was used for simulative calculation of the static electromagnetic fields.The simulation result by using ANSYS was proved in compliance with the practical situation.
