The Design of a Small-Scale Epidemic Spreading Simulation System

In this paper, we choose H1N1 as the disease research object. On the basic idea of artificial society and considering traffic factors, we use modeling and simulation technology based on agent to build an artificial town which has a population of 1500. In the process of building the small-scale epidemic spreading simulation system, we build epidemic spreading model at first, then we build an artificial town which puts emphasis on traffic model, At last, we integrate the epidemic spreading model into people’s daily activities. Based on the system, we design three kinds of experiments to investigate the propagation rules and control measures of H1N1. The experiments are set under three conditions: absence of intervention, closing important places and conducting epidemic surveillance. By analyzing important places of epidemic spreading and the effect of different intervention measures, we can provide powerful auxiliary support for epidemic prevention and control work, and the practicability and effectiveness of the system in controlling epidemic is validated at the same time.
