WDM data links for broadband multimedia communications applications

This paper discusses the development of a wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) communication systems for high- speed multimedia information delivery applications. This system multiplexes NTSC video, RGB video, audio, and network data (ATM/OC-3, FDDI) onto a single fiber to provide multimedia communications between remote locations.© (1996) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
