An Analysis of Difficulty Planning in Aerobic Gymnastics for Men’s Individual Event

By means of literature reviews,videotape analysis,mathematical statistics and interviews with experts,the authors of this paper try to analyze and compare the degree of difficulties in the routine motions between the world aerobic gymnastic champion and China’s athlete during the Seventh World Sports Game in 2005 by discussing the classification,grades and distribution of difficult gymnastic motions selected respectively.The result shows that there is little difference in the selection of the classified difficult motions between Chinese athletes and the world champion;the rank of difficult motions used by Chinese athletes is a little higher than that of the world champion;difficult motions is reasonably arranged in the complete set of gymnastic motions while the integrated degree of difficult motions for Chinese athletes needs to be improved compared with the level of the world champion.
