Calculation procedure of scattering of plane electromagnetic waves on a hollow multiwall carbon nanotube (MWCNT) is presented in optical range using the Drude-Lorentz model for dielectric permittivity tensor of MWCNT and the finite element method. Results of calculations of scattering of plane electromagnetic waves on a hollow MWCNT (angular dependences of the differential cross sections in the far-zone and the distribution of electric fields in the near-zone) are obtained for parallel and perpendicular polarized vectors of electric fields of incident waves relatively its axis, with the Poynting vector perpendicular to this one.
