A process for preparing silanes

A process for the preparation of compounds of formula (H) wherein x is 2, 3 or 4 and y is 0, 1 or 2 and x + y = 4, comprising the steps of: - providing a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer and phthalimide derivatives, - Implementation of the styrene-divinylbenzene copolymers with the phthalimide derivatives lead to condensation products - hydrolysis of the condensation products to form a crosslinked polyvinyl benzylamine primary, - Implementation of the crosslinked primary Polyvinylbenzylamins with formaldehyde and formic acid to a catalyst which is a polystyrene crosslinked with divinylbenzene resin having tertiary amine groups, - disproportionation of a Hydrochlorsilans of formula (H) wherein x is 1, 2 or 3 and y is 1, 2 or 3 and a + b = 4 and b> y, or a mixture of these hydrochlorosilanes in the presence of the catalyst.
