Effect of astragalus membranacens addiuveon sperm quaility in vitro

おhe rcsearch of the effect of additive astragalus membranacens to the sperm preparation in vitro, semen paramenters by computer-assisted semen analysis. The purposes of which are to improve the sperm quality and fertilited ability. The results are as follows: 39 patients were involved in the group with Astragalus membranacens by atomic absorptive spectral analysis. It was found there were a lot of metal elcments and a certain amount of trace elcments in aqueous solution of Astragalus mcmbranaceas (10mg/ml). The content of K+, Ca++, Zn++ in this solution was 2.51ug/ml, 7.28ug/ml and 0.47ug/ml respectivcly compared with the original semen, the sperm motility and velocity, the percentage of grade A sperms and the swaying frcquency of sperm head were improved markedly in the semen adding in Astragalus membranaceas. Evaluation in management of artificial insemination husband was also discussed. We considered the Chinese herbal medicine additive of sperm preparation in vitro has been a potential method to assisted reproductive technology.
