The invention discloses a data packet sending and receiving method and device to guarantee that a plurality of data packets corresponding to image data can be transmitted to a receiving end so as to guarantee that the receiving end can acquire the complete image data and to improve the display quality of images, and the possibility of screen blurring or screen blanking is decreased. The method comprises the steps that fragment packaging is carried out on the image data collected within the preset time duration, and the data packets corresponding to the image data are obtained; the data packets corresponding to the image data are cached and sent to the receiving end; when a responding packet which is sent by the receiving end and used for indicating that at least one data packet in the data packets corresponding to the image data is not received is received, the data packet which is not received and is cached locally is sought, and the sought data packet is sent to the receiving end again.
