Temperature distribution and heat transfer through a homogeneous corner

1997
Abstract The temperature distribution within a homogeneous corner is derived analytically using the Schwarz alternating method. Comparisons between the analytical and numerical solutions are presented and the differences between the two methods are analysed. A parametric analysis based on the general solution derives the concepts of “significant length” and “coefficient of equivalence” that can be used in engineering designs.
