Inductive Effect of Magnetic Field on Crystal Growth in Amorphous-Ni-P Alloy

1993
Amorphous-Ni-P alloy crystallizes when heated, and it has been found that the growth of crystals is induced by applying a magnetic field. Crystals which thus grow are Ni5P4 containing Ni. Ni crystal nuclei are believed to be generated by the magnetic field in the initial stage of growth, and Ni5P4 crystals grow around them.
