Propecia — Real Threat or Paper Tiger?

The Merck company recently announced its application to the US FDA to market Finasteride as the second drug that can truly re-grow hair in balding men. The proposed brand name of the new medication is Propecia; the name comes from adding a Latin prefix, Profor, to the root pecia, as in alopecia.
