Diagnosing Students’ Physics Knowledge and Remediating Learning Difficulties: A Computer-Based Approach

This chapter deals with a tutoring system concerning diagnostic and remedial actions on the average velocity knowledge. The diagnosis of the reasoning procedure used by each student is carried out on the basis of a task sequence tailored on a detailed student model. The remedial section provides diagnosis-dependent learning activities.
