New derivatives of bicyclo (2.2.1) heptane, their process for the preparation and their use for the preparation of perfumed compositions

There are described highly aromatic, or highly scented, compounds of the following formula in which R denotes a formyl group or a hydroxymethyl group which is bonded in the 5- or 6-position, and the broken line denotes a single bond or double bond. There are furthermore described compositions which comprise the compound I, and processes for the preparation of the compounds I.
