On-site FDS test analysis and countermeasure strategy discussions of Oil-impregnated Paper Condenser Bushing

2020
As a new non-destructive test method, FDS (which is short for frequency-domain dielectric spectroscopy) can reflect the dampness condition of oil-paper insulation system sensitively. At present, FDS method has been widely used in on-site test of OIP (which is short for oil-impregnated paper) condenser bushing of transformer. In this paper, considering the actual situation of on-site test in transformer substations in recent years, the authors studied the influence of different batches of test equipment from the same manufacturer, different manufacturers' equipment, and different test output voltages of the same equipment on on-site FDS test aiming at OIP bushings. Combined with test results analysis, it is considered that there is a great deal of randomness of electromagnetic interference in transformer substation, the results show that it is not the higher the test output voltage is, the smaller the interference is. Instead, output voltage should be adjusted flexibly according to the actual on-site situation, and tester should also take other anti-interference measures, thus expecting to get ideal test results.
