Ligand exchange reactions between Cu(II), Pb(II), Al(III), and Cr(III) acetylacetonates and dipivaloylmethanates: The possibility of using exchange reactions in estimation of standard enthalpies of formation of metal β-diketonates

Ligand exchange reactions between Cu(II), Pb(II), Al(III), and Cr(III) acetylacetonates and dipivaloylmethanates were studied by mass spectrometry with sample evaporation from an analog of the Knudsen effusion cell (direct inlet probe). It was shown that exchange reactions can be used to estimate the standard enthalpies of formation of metal β-diketonates.
