AS FACES DA VIOLÊNCIA CONTRA A CRIANÇA E O PAPEL DO ENFERMEIRO

The variable forms of violence are the main causes of death among children and adolescents, occupying a prominent place in modern society and a public health problem. This study aimed to reflect on the various forms of violence against children and the role of nurses. This is a reflection article, through scientific bases such as the Virtual Health Library, in the LILACS, BDENF information bases , MEDLINE and SCIELO. Corroborating the text, we can reflect on the impact of violence on children, which can cause irreparable trauma and the reason why it is totally connected with the society in which we live today. It can be concluded that the role of the nurse is of fundamental importance, being able to act early through the pediatric consultation and to diagnose as soon as possible a suspected violence, thus being able to report and guarantee the physical and emotional integrity of the child or adolescent under your care.
