In various embodiments, an optoelectronic component (100) is provided, the optoelectronic component (100) comprising: an optically active region (126), an optically inactive region (128) and a contact surface (116, 118); wherein the contact surface (116, 118) is arranged as an electrical contact of the optoelectronic component (100); wherein the optically active region (126) having an electrode (110, 114); wherein the contact surface (116, 118) to the electrode (110, 114) is electrically connected; wherein a part of the contact surface (116, 118) in the optically active region (126) and a part of the contact surface (116, 118) in the optically inactive region (128) is disposed; wherein the contact surface (116, 118), the electrode (110, 114) at least partially surrounds; and wherein the proportion of the contact surface (116, 118) in the optically inactive region (128) is smaller than in the optically active region (126).
