Non‐linear control of induction motors via input‐output decoupling
2007
An original two-step input-output decoupling approach aimed at the design of a non-linear controller for induction machines is described. The resulting scheme is compared to both the non-linear control by exact linearization and the classical field-oriented vector control. The performance of the three controllers, which are implemented in discrete time, is evaluated and compared in the framework of a realistically simulated variable speed drive. The proposed approach provides excellent flux-speed decoupling, and it allows for a straightforward and exact limitation of the machine currents. The latter represents the major advantage to most other non-linear control schemes, where the inaccessibility of the currents, which prevents their correct limitation, is a major drawback
