Kom6rki roŚlinne w kulturze in vitro jako ŹrÓdŁo naturalnych substancji aktywnych biologicznie

Current achievements in using callus and suspension cultures for producing plant substances are referred in general in this review. The basic technical of plant cell cultures initiation and the character of cell growth inbatch suspension culture are described in details. The accumulation of secondary metabolites at any stage of culture is the result of a dynamic balance between biosynthetic, transport and biodegradative processes. In general, cell growth and production of secondary metabolites are correlate inversely. According to the correlation the plant suspension cultures were divided into several different types.
