Solar radiation focusing: analysis and determination of reflecting facets point spread functions and alignment errors

1989
The alignment errors and the actual point spread functions of the reflecting facets used in large scale solar point focusing facilities are prime order parameters for computer modeling maps of the reflected fluxes. They can be determined by direct observation of the apparent radiance distributions on the reflecting surfaces sighted from a point in the vicinity of the focal point of the facility. Some computer predicted maps of ideal iso-radiance curves are presented.
