Rotating Machinery Diagnosis with Acoustic Emission Techniques

This paper developed a diagnostic system for detection of abnormalities of rotary machines by the AE measurement method. We aimed at preventive maintenance of plants. First, the developed diagnostic method for rubbing is described and then diagnosis of damaged journal bearings and a wireless AE monitoring method for abnormal rotor conditions are presented. Finally, the diagnostic method with AE technique for rotating machines which was developed for a comprehensive diagnostic approach is discussed
