The Bestiari catala (first half of the 14th c.) is a Catalan translation of the Libro della natura degli animali, also known as Bestiario toscano, a vernacular prose text composed in a Pisan milieu in the last quarter of the 13th century. This essay focuses on the relationship between the tradition of the Libro della natura and its Catalan translation. The Author argues that the translation was drawn from a copy of the Libro della natura holding a high position within the stemma codicum.
