Absorption and Utilization of Sheepgrass (Leymus chinensis) on Water

Water is the first abiotic limiting factor influencing the growth of plants. The long-term adaptation of sheepgrass to water conditions shows its different water demands in different periods or growth stages. Sheepgrass is sensitive to different water stresses at different growth stages, and the water requirement of sheepgrass varies with seasonal change. Drought stress directly limits the growth of sheepgrass and significantly affects biomass. Moreover, the shortage of water resources has suggested new goals and requirements for irrigation science. In the early stage of planting sheepgrass in artificial grasslands, some urgent concerns include studying the law of water requirement of sheepgrass, accelerating the construction of artificial grassland of sheepgrass and recovering the ecological environment.
