USE OF INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS FOR ELECTRONIC STABILITY OF MOTOR VEHICLES

2019
The stability of motor vehicles represents its ability to move under different conditions of exploitation by a given trajectory without slipping one or more wheels and without overturning. Stability, as a vehicle property, is divided into transversal and longitudinal stability, which is related to the direction of eventual loss of stability, i.e. for the direction of slipping or rolling. In the world of expansion and application of information technologies, intelligent transport systems are increasingly used in all modes of transport. These systems have been widely used in road traffic (active and passive vehicle safety, automatic vehicle tracking,...). Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) in the widest sense represent the application of modern information and communication technologies in traffic and transport. Application of ITS applications, which are an integral part of vehicles and transport infrastructure, in most cases should help the driver while driving and to reduce the risk of a traffic accident. These systems are most often used as a preventive measure for the occurrence of traffic accidents, but they are also used in mitigating the consequences of traffic accidents.
