Dizajn posla kao element razvoja atraktivnosti poslodavca u IT sektoru

Due to the increasing competition of the labor force in the labor market within the IT sector, employers are faced with a great challenge of attracting and retaining adequate employees. Recently, job design has played an increasing role in the development of employer attractiveness. Thesis includes the theoretical foundations related to the attractiveness and employer branding within the technology sector and the theoretical construct of job design as one of the elements of human resources management. 99 employees from the IT sector from three companies in the Republic of Croatia participated in the created survey. The research showed that employees value job design as an important factor for the development of employer attractiveness. In other words, they assessed the task characteristics, cognitive and social characteristics of the job important for knowledge workers. Also, it was found that there is no statistically significant difference when estimating the dimensions of job design between computer programers and marketing experts as the two largest groups of respondents. Therefore, it has been shown that job design can be a good tool for increasing the satisfaction of existing employees and attracting new ones.
