An Application of a Data Transfer Program (Lotus Measure™) with a Pulse Oximeter

1992
The Nellcor® N-200 pulse oximeter provides various digital-output formats through its RS-232 communication port. They include “Computer Format”, “Beat-to-Beat Format” and “No Real-Time Output Format” (1). The Computer Format gives a real time output (saturation and pulse rate) every 10 seconds, the Beat-to-Beat format gives the output once per every beat, and the No Real-Time Output Format gives trend and event data stored in the pulse oximeter for a maximum period of 12 hours.
