Moving towards Transdisciplinarity in Research with Marginalized Populations
2015
Our research team studies marginalized populations, including homeless people
and individuals with chronic substance use. Research with these populations is
inherently fraught with a number of challenges and requires consideration of the
interplay of multiple psychosocial and environmental conditions and risk factors
(rather than examining these factors in isolation). Such an understanding is fundamental to the ability to develop helpful, tailored interventions.
