Procedure for the identification, isolation and production of antigens to a specific pathogen.

2002
Method for identification, isolation and production of antigens reactive hyperimmune serum from a pathogen, said antigens being suited for use in a vaccine for a given type of animal or for humans, characterized by the steps of type: providing an antibody preparation to from a plasma pool of said given type of animal plasma or a human or individual sera with antibodies against said specific pathogen, or providing at least one expression library of bacterial surface of said specific pathogen, or selecting said at least one expression library bacterial surface with said antibody preparation, or identifying antigens which bind in said selection to antibodies in said antibody preparation or screening the identified antigens with individual antibody preparations from individual sera from individuals with antigens against said SPECS pathogen or, or identify the antigenic portion reactive hyperimmune serum of said identified antigens and such antigens reactive hyperimmune serum bind to a relevant portion of said individual antibody preparations from said individual sera optionally yu isolating said antigens reactive hyperimmune serum and producing said hyperimmune serum reactive antigens in by chemical or recombinant methods, provided that said individual sera is from patients showing an antibody titer against said specific pathogen is greater than the 90th percentile and an IgG titer above 10000 U.
