Characteristics of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst adding graphene-tungsten nanocomposite

2017
Abstract Graphene-supported tungsten (WO 3 ) nanocomposite with different WO 3 loadings as synthesized using an impregnation method. The dispersion of graphene-WO 3 nanocomposite was confirmed using transmission electron microscopy. Then selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalysts that using the graphene-WO 3 nanocomposite was fabricated and their catalytic properties were evaluated. Due to its high specific surface area, graphene can nano-disperse WO 3 and consequently improve its catalytic properties. The use of the graphene-WO 3 nanocomposite alleviates the adverse effect of NH 3 has on the NO reduction by the catalyst. The addition of the graphene-WO 3 nanocomposite to the catalyst increases its NO X -removal efficiency to 80% over a temperature range of 150– 450 °C. Furthermore, the addition of the graphene-WO 3 nanocomposite decreased the SO 2 -SO 3 conversion to
