Development of interactive scheduling system for steel sheet manufacturing

Abstract We developed several simulations and applications for a scheduling system in steel sheet manufacturing, which are 1) To be model of multi-process production management, 2) Visual interactive scheduler for continuous annealing line, 3) Constraint check function using semantic analysis for hot rolling process scheduling. These led to significant achievements, which comprise a reduction of the amount of inventory to 65%, less than 20% of non-synchronous production in multi process and a cut down the lead-time of manufacturing to half.
