A Study on the Effect of the Regionalization Adjustment of Towns and Townships on Land Use: a Case Study of Xuebu Town of Jiangsu Province

2008
Regionalization adjustment of towns and townships, which changes the soil regionalization map,is favorable to intensive utilization of land and conservation of the ecosystem of small towns and townships. The adjustment of farmers' soil utilization is also on the way.But a close observation suggests that we still leave much to be desired. The regionalization adjustment is confined within county or city limits, which prevents the optimization of soil in a larger economic region;land of the former town's or township's government sites leave unused;infrastructure and eco-environment need to be improved;and the transaction of real estate on collective land lacks practical standards and regulation.Based on the analysis and findings, some solutions to the problems are also put forward in this paper.
