Nivel de desempeño en manufactura esbelta, manufactura sustentable y mejora continua en plantas de manufactura medianas y grandes de México: un análisis comparativo

medium (12) and large (28) manufac- turing plants of Apodaca, Mexico were sur- veyed to investigate the level of implemen- tation of lean manufacturing, sustainable manufacturing, continuous improvement and its impact on the operational efficiency and environmental responsibility in them. The performance on the two types of plants is low. In both cases it is worrying that in the highly industrialized municipa- lity of Apodaca, Mexico are not decisively adopting the philosophies mentioned. Finally this article shows the results of the responses of the plants managers to the questionnaire items. This information can be useful to the management of the plants to identify and to define specific improve- ment actions towards priority areas.
